Hey there shoppers!
As school is coming to an end, for me in 3 days, this will be my post on my love for shoppping! This weekend, I did some shopping and I went to Bed Bath and Beyond, to get some things for my new aparment next year. This store has basically anything you could need, from towels, to hair dyers, to pots and pans. I went in there to find, a toaster, and a shower curtian. Everything in the store is a good price, and every week in the paper you recieve a 20% off coupon. Bed Bath and Beyond also has bedding, and many piece of art work and picture frames, to decorate with along with candles. Many people register there for weddings becuase in one store they have so much stuff! Once August rolls around, the store will be packed with college students buying desks, lamps, chairs, bedding and everything else college. For which there is a whole part of the store deicated to College! This store is great, you should defienltly check out all it has to offer!

Last article relating to my project on Global internet issues.
Spam, no matter where you are accessing the internet from spam can flood your email, can pop up on your screen and damange your computer. In this article I learn that Spam is many copies of the same message, in aattempt to force the message on people who do not want it. Lots of these messages are schemes that you should not believe. There are two main types of spam and they both effect the recievers differntly Cancellable Usenet spam, is a single mesage sent to 20 or more people. Email spam targets indidvudal users with direct mail messages, either way spammers find your email address from internet mailing lists, websites amoung other things. Many people use two email addresses and only sign up for things online with one address to prevent getting spam on both accounts.

Global Internet Issue Project:
For our project I focused on Security as an internet issue, and in my article CERT's website, covers all kinds of security issues on the web. In this article I learned that with the conveiences that you have on the interent it becomes easy to break into your information. The three kinds of network security indicdents that i talkedabout in our presentation were probes, scans, and account comprimise. There are many more and with the amount of issues since 1995, have continued to rise, which is no suprise considering how many people use the internet. There are many types of reasons that will make you vulnerable on the net, which is a weakness that a person can exploilt to accomplish soemthing non legitimate.

Hey there shoppers!
Yesterday when I hit the mall for some retail therapy I went to Victoria's Secret. This store has more underware, in every color, style and pattern than anywhere else. They also have a great selection of Pink clothing, which are those sweat pants that you see almost every girl wearing. They have dresses, and tee shirts along with hand bags and flip flops, everything pink! They also have a 5 for 25 sale on their underware, so it acutally is a good deal considering most of their underware, are $8 dollars a piece. VS also has many bras, sleep shirts, night gowns and tank tops, they even have sports bras! They also carry an extenstive line of body wash, spray, perfume and makeup as well, for the inner Victoria's Secret Angel in all of us.

This week, I went to Express, and if your looking for trendy clothes go out in, or if your looking for professional clothes to wear to work Express has it all. I went in express, because i had a 30 dollar off a purchase of 75 or more, which certiantly is not hard to do. Express has great dress pants, in different styles, colors and lenghts to fit each person perfectly. What caught my eye was a silk skirt with pink and green flowerson it. The A-Line cut and the girly print sold me and i just had to buy it. It will be perfect to wear to work, a party or where ever. Express has some great dress shirts as well, which are versitale and can be worn with any thing!

Hey there Shoppers!!
This weekend I was up in Newport, Rhode Island and and besides laying on the beach, I was doing a ton of shopping! In downtown Newport there are many shops that line the streets near the water that have lots and lots of things in them. My personal favorite stores are The Music Box, and The Black dog. The music box has CD, DVDS and board games and on the other side of the store they have a full line of Life is good clothes, outside toys, back packs, picture frams and basicaly anything you can thing imagine. All of their clothes have a small picutre of something that makes life good with a cute saying underneath. They so many different hobbies and things on all the clothes that these thigns appeal to everyone because they have so many different types of shirts.
The black dog store has great clothes, bags, shoes, golf stuff among so much more with Black Labs on them . For anyone who loves animals or has a black lab as a pet you must check out this store and buy some stuff they have lots of different things and the black dog is in Newport, Martha's Vinyard and a few other places! While i was there i bought my niece a black dog sweater because for her 1st birthday she is gettinga puppy :)
Newport has a ton of great stores, so if you have a nice weekend and want to take the drive there, its worth it!

Hey shoppers,
Spring has finally arrived and with that said it was time to hit some stores this week and buy some new spring clothes. This weekend i went to the GAP, and they have alot of nice stuff. Their new sunkissed khakis in pink, orange, green and blue are fun and bright with great matching tops. Gap also has some great dress pants and tops for summer jobs, and for speical occasions. But what I love most about the Gap is their dresses they have really nice summer sun dresses that you can dressup or down depending on where your wearing the dress. Gap also has the Product Red collection that gives part of the profits to AIDS research in Africa. Lots of the shirts have cute sayings on them and they have everything from shoes, and tote bags to shirts and jackets. Gap kids has a bunch of great bathing suits and cute summer outfits for the younger population of Gap lovers.

VQUZESHUF Shoppers!
Another week and more shopping to be discussed! Banana Rebpulic is a store owned by GAP INC and has higher scale and more expensive items than at Gap and Old Navy. But despite the price, Banana has great clothes for all occasions they have a variety of clothes to wear to work, out for the night or just casual wear. Banana's stores also carry shoes and jewlery and purses to match the outfits and jackets they sell. Over Chirstmas before the semi formal, I wnet to Banana to buy a dress to wear to the dance. The customer service and the dresses to choose from were impressive and it is one of the reasons that i continue to shop there. This spring, many of their clothes have bright green and geometric patterns on them, which make you feel like it should be warm and sunny outside!

Max's Blog:
After looking at Max's Blog I realize how his blog on marketing i relize that people really make Blogging a huge part of their life and career. His Blog is presented with lots of facts and his opinion as well and in his lastest post he talks about different marketing firms and how he is unimpressed with the work that Ad agencies have produced over they past few years. He claims that no one is coming up with new and exciting Marketing concepts and usually the Ad's are either a spin off of a previously used ad, or a very cliehe type ad. Max goes on to promote an agency in Boston called Modernista that has clients like Cadillac, Hummer along with some others. The different thing about Modernista is that it it does an navagation overlay and drive you around what is on the rest of the web. He goes on to expain how it works, and writes in a user friendly way.
Johns Blog:
This one is set up different with the theme being more about media, technology and things along those lines. This blog is more like a typicall blog where he write about what he hears about on the radio or TV and goes on to use some research and opinion to dicuss the topic. In a recent post he talks about Yahoo and how the yhave had some radio ads, and how in the ads while he didn't believe them to be good or bad nessecarily they made mention of Google 2 times, which would be their compeitior! He's posts are short and too the point and you don't have to spend alot of time reading and trying to understand what he is saying. He has alot going on on his page, and wrties in his blog alot with achrives going back pretty far into 2005. He also has links to research and resouces that he uses on his page.

Bob's has a great sports section and with baseball season up they have alot of hats, shirts, and jerseys for the sports team of your choice. Mine is Boston and I'm looking forward to another great season!
Bob's also has a ton of shoes they carry Reefs Tevas, Crocs, and all brands if your looking for sneakers! They also have alot of nice dress shoes, and casual shoes for work, along with the beach and summer flip flops as well. For men they have work boots, sneakers and sandels as well. Bob's has a great work out clothes and sells Champion, Nike, Danskin and many other running shorts, spandex pants and tee shirts to work out in.
If your looking for clothes to wear out for the night, or to work Bob's also has great sundresses, sweaters, and capri and jeans that are inexepsive and stylish. I bought alot of Billabong brand dresses and shirts that reminded me of summer and I can't wait to wear them once the weather gets warm. I also looked at the IZOD section and bought a nice summer light weight sweater and white capris!
Lastly, the great thing about Bob's is that each each they have coupons for great deal, some of the best you can find with 10 $ off, 15 % off and much more. Once you open a best of Bob's points card you get even more coupons in the mail so you are always buying something that is on sale.

I've been doing alot of shopping with the two vacations we have had and When I hit the malls last there was alot of stores with great stuff in them. I went into Aeropostle, and they had alot of great stuff for spring and summer. With the weather it is hard to believe that it will ever be nice out but either way I had to buy some summer shirts. Aero has alot of different tank tops, and sweat shirts with matching capris. They also have alot of terrycloth pants with matching zip ups in nice spring colors. Aero has great bathing suits for summer with lots of accessories to match. While some of the Aero clothing is geared towards younger teens, with shirts with quotes on them and with monkeys and other animals. They also stuff that appeals to an older group of people. They have nice tank tops, and dressy summer tops. And for boys they have great khacki cargos, with polo shirts. The other great thing about Aero is they are alwasy having great sales, so you don't have to worry about spending alot of money on a shirt or pair of pants it is a store that is very affordable.
Currently Aero is promoting the TV show Greek on ABC Family and are selling the DVD of the first season!

It is Spring Break this week, so lots more shopping has been done on my part! With the summer approaching I've been hitting the gym alot more so this weekend I needed to go and buy so more Sports clothing. So i went to Sports Authority where you can basically get what ever you are looking for, for anything sports related. Sports Authority has everything from sneakers to treadmills to snow pants. So for what ever activity your looking for you can find not only the clothing but the accessories that go with it. Baseballs, Soccer balls, hockey and lacrosse sticks are just a few of the items Sports Authority has.
This winter when I needed a new ski jacket, I went to Sports Authority and got a great deal on a Columbia Jacket. This weekend when i wanted a pair of under armor running pants I went into Sports Authority to find that I had about 25 different options for running pants in many different brands. While I settle on under armor because they had the largest selection there were so many different styles and colors of clothes to hit the gym in. I also needed a new pair of shorts, so i got a nice simple pair from the NIKE section.

Hey shoppers!!
This weekend I hit up Old Navy to see what they have and whats new there. I really like Old Navy because they always have clothes you can wear everyday, and are very reasonably priced. Compared to the other stores that Old Navy is a part of Gap and Banana Repbulic Old Navy has the same kind of clothes but are less expensive.
This Spring, prints are in and Old Navy has a large collection of animal print tops, skirts and dresses. Simple wedge sandels are also sold at Old Navy to go with the latest trend.
Another reason why I love Old Navy, is becasue they have great dresses that you can wear from work to a night out with out having to worry about changing. Classic empire waist dresses are great for girls who don't like things to be really tight. But there are also dresses that do have a tighter fit as well. My personal favorite is the tank top polo dresses which are great for any occasion.

Compared to the other stores that Old Navy is a part of Gap and Banana Repbulic Old Navy has the same kind of clothes but are less expensive.

Hey there shoppers!
Another week and lots more shopping to talk about. This week I stopped by the Hallmark store, for some pre valentines day shopping. One of the things I love about the Hallmark store is they have so many cards, and gifts for every holiday. While Hallmark is responsible for making holidays like Valentines Day so commericalized its nice to walk into the store and pick out cards for friends, family and that speical someone. Hallmark had lots small gifts with hearts and quotes on them and was perfect for getting a speical person in your life something that is small and meaningful.
Hallmark also carries Vera Bradley which is one of the most popular handbags right now. Recently Vera released their four new spring patterns, my personal favorite is the Rasberry Fizz. I loved it so much that I needed to buy a new purse in that pattern because it was just want I wanted for this spring/ summer season. So if your looking for a good late Valentines Day gift or just wanting to buy a new purse and like the bright patterns from Vera Bradley go to the Hallmark store.
Since Valentines Day is over now, Hallmark is beginning to put out their St. Patricks Day cards, and decorations. Stickers, cards, shamrocks and window clings all put anyone Irish or not in the St. Patricks Day spirit!
Lastly, for a great birthday gift for a friend turning 21 Hallmark has these great Martini glasses with different painted themes on them, and when you turn the glass upside down the bottom has the name of the drink and how to make it on the bottom. For the "princess" in your life they have a glass with a painted crown among many other themese. They also have beer glasses with painted themes on them because men drink beer, not Martini's.

Hey there shoppers!
Another week and much more shopping to discuss. This weekend I did some serious shopping at the Trumbull Mall and most of the stores have the first part of their summer lines out. With each store I went in I felt refreshed to see bathing suits, sun dresses and flip flops. But the store that I spent the most time and money it this week was American eagle. When I walked into the store I saw many bright colors and fun prints on tank tops, shirts and dresses. One of my favorite dresses in the stores is a white cotton sun dress with the eyelet designs on it, which I always think it’s a classic summer look. American eagle also had high neck tank tops that really flatter your figure because it doesn't cling to your body. Also since Valentine’s Day is rapidly approaching, AE has the perfect gift, for a boy/girlfriend cute pajama sets and boxers for the guy are a cute and not super expensive gift you’re someone you love this Valentine’s Day.
On the guy’s side of the store, American eagle has the perfect spring outfits, casual cargo shorts in kakis and blue with a nice color polo shirt. For those guys who dare to be different Hawaiian printed board shorts always add a fun element to getting dressed. If you want to get your boyfriend, brother or friend something nice for them to wear out on the town American eagle has nice button up dress shirts in different colors so you’re bound to find one they will like.
My favorite part of American eagle is their shoes, and right now they had tons of flip flops with all different colors, material and some that are flats and wedges. Whatever shoe you’re looking for American eagle has!

Hey there shoppers,
While surfing the web today I was looking for articles on global aspects of the internet. I have to over the course of this semester find articles that pertain to this topic for class. The article I found is about World Internet Users and is as recent as December 2007. According to this site, North America only makes up 18.0% of the worlds use. I personally find this interesting because I feel like everyone in the United States is surfing the web, and for people like me its looking at websites with clothing and other sorts of retail. What I also found interesting about this article is that less people in Australia use the internet than in Africa, Africa exceeding Australia by 3.4% to their 1.5%. No matter how many people are surfing the web globally it is true that email, websites, and other things on the web connect people to things and places faster than any other way!

Hey fellow shoppers! This week I want to talk about one of very favorite stores thats located near my house, in Hamden CT. It is called DAVA and is a unique one of a kind store. When you walk into the store you can smell many different kinds of insense and candles. DAVA has different types of candles not your run of the mill Yankee Candles. Many of the products in DAVA are earth friendly, and DAVA has alot more than just candles. They have a long counter full of jewlery, rings, barretes, necklaces, earrings and basically anything you ever want, the best part about this jewlery is that the only place I have ever seen the stuff is in DAVA. So anytime I want a piece of jewlery that I know is speical and isn't something everyone else is wearing I always go to DAVA.
If jewlery isn't what your looking for DAVA has a great collection of the "Quotable" stuff, for those of you who don't know what the Quotable line is they have cards, mugs, candles, magnets, notebooks and many other things with really good and meaningful quotes said by imporant people. I have a large collection of the Quotable Magnets and I always enjoy reading them and picking out my favorite while I am shopping at DAVA.
DAVA also sells handmade clothing, long flowing skirts, dress and shirts and flip flops, their cloths sort of border on the hippie side, which isn't my style but I do see many people purchasing their clothing.
While I could go on forever about how unique and how much I love shopping at DAVA, i hope if you ever in Hamden, CT that you get a chance to check out this really cool store that is a great place to buy a friend a gift or get yourself a little something speical. DAVA has something for everyone on your shopping list!

Welcome to my page where I will dish about my adventures shopping at many different stores over the course of the semester. I know not every ones favorite hobby is to shop how ever I love to shop for all sorts of items, not just clothes so I will incorporate all things shopping into my page.
This week we will start with one of my favorite stores, Target! Targets are located pretty much in every state and truly are the one stop place for people to buy almost everything they could ever need. For me its hard to go into a Target and not spend at least 50 dollars. Target has something for everyone, and if you are for a gift this is the perfect place to find something. From babies to adult target has everything. Clothing, electronics, school supplies and furniture are just some of the things Target has in their store. One of my favorite sections at target is their decorations for Holidays, they always have great inexpensive decorations for St. Pa tricks Day Valentines Day and they usually have a whole section of their store with Christmas, Halloween and Easter things! Nothing put you in the holiday season like walking into a section full of awesome decorations at Target.
Each week Target sends out a flyer with things that are on sale and this week they have some good Super Bowl sales going on. So if you have always wanted a nice flat screen LCD TV now is the time to buy! Also going along with the Super Bowl theme, soda, chips, frozen pizza and candy are all on sale so when you have that big party Sunday stop by target and pick up everything you need. For the women hosting these Super Bowl parties, hand towels, cleaning supplies and vacuums are on sale, so you can clean up the mess after the party is all over!
